The melding of modern European fashion with American Beaux-Arts elements is the work of designer Cheryl Rowely, who envisioned the hotel as an ocean liner traveling to far-off ports-of-call. A 1910 Beaux-Arts façade fronts a plush lobby featuring a grand marble staircase, French fireplace and vaulted ceilings.
Vibrant with color, the 201 guest rooms and suites feature canopy beds, Oriental armoires, writing desks and other travel-inspired furnishings. The hotel features extras like Frette robes and Aveda bath products in each room.
Guests may savor contemporary French cuisine in the Grand Café, which replicates the feel of 1920’s Paris with its 30-foot ceilings, cascading chandeliers, stately columns and Art Nouveau frills.
Hotel Monaco’s visitors may partake in a variety of amenities during their stay; including complimentary wine and tarot readings in the evening. Guests may also enjoy the newly renovated Spa Equilibrium with whirlpool, sauna, steam room and full spa treatments. Amenities for pets include a "Bone-A-Petit" package of dog goodies upon arrival. Not into dogs? The Hotel Monaco’s “Guppy Love” program supplies a complimentary goldfish upon request for the duration of a guest’s stay.
