The Monticello Inn is an elegant colonial-style boutique hotel inspired by Thomas Jefferson’s Virginian home whose name it shares.

Situated in a landmark 1906 building, the Monticello Inn offers the charm and timeless elegance of a colonial mansion. The federal-style architecture, bold vibrant colors, Chippendale-style furnishings and paintings of early American figures complete the experience. The expansive lobby features a brass mantled fireplace and authentic period touches that invite guests to relax and immerse themselves in the charming Southern atmosphere.

Upon entering any one of the spacious 91 rooms of the five-story Monticello Inn, one looses touch with some of the Colonial theme but is well rewarded by generous and bright surroundings. The rooms, which were completely renovated in 2004 with plush new carpet and bright textiles, all vary in size and shape. The unique two-room Jefferson Suites feature an in-room book selection honoring Thomas Jefferson’s passion for literature.

The Puccini and Pinetti Italian Grill is conveniently located directly adjacent to the Monticello. The vibrant atmosphere features whimsical wall murals highlighting life in the lively restaurant. The menu is decidedly Italian and includes a wide variety of pastas, focaccia sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas.

The Monticello Inn celebrates a passion for reading by featuring a comfortable library where visitors can savor a good book by the fire. The Inn features weekly readings by local authors in the same venue as the nightly complimentary wine reception is held.
