The restored exterior pleasingly contrasts with the boutique hotel’s modern lobby; a bold mélange of vivid, rust-colored walls, geometrically patterned persimmon and red carpeting, dark furnishings and striking contemporary artwork.

The 131 guest rooms and suites, many with breathtaking bay views, were recently renovated and radiate the same sophistication and energy as the lobby. The décor uses geometric patterns, clean lines and a pleasing color palette of sage, bronze and eggplant to create a comfortable ambience. Furnishings include large armoires, writing desks, roman shades and partially canopied beds. Yoga enthusiasts will appreciate the mats and instructional CD provided in each room.

Guests can enjoy afternoon wine receptions often enhanced by live guitar music or stroll a few blocks along the Embarcadero and find several trendy restaurants and bars.
