Cartwright Hotel
INDEPENDENT REVIEW BY ULTIMATEHOTELS.COM STAFF
Newly renovated, the 1913 boutique Cartwright Hotel offers a uniquely San Francisco experience with an ideal location just minutes from Union Square.
The hotel features not only an excellent location but a quintessential Edwardian-era experience. The eight-story hotel property opened approximately 80 years ago and has preserved many of the original architectural elements. The nicely appointed Cartwright Hotel exudes class and elegance; both lobby and rooms are outfitted with authentic antiques.
The 114 newly decorated guestrooms are small, quaint, and well-maintained. Each is individually decorated and features original black and white photos of early-1900s San Francisco and turn-of-the-century antiques. Baths are completely equipped and feature tub and shower combinations.
A complimentary wine reception is held each evening featuring premium labels from the surrounding wine country. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily in the lobby and each afternoon brings freshly baked cookies for your enjoyment.
The Cartwright Hotel prides itself on spoiling your beloved pet. Your animal companions are treated upon check-in to a toy and personalized letter from the ‘Pet Concierge’ complete with tips on pet-friendly spots to explore around town.
